Previsico has been selected by InsTech London to pitch at its UK event on 3 September, with the winner going through to the InsureTech Connect (ITC) Global finals on 21-23 September.
This year, ITC, best known for its annual Las Vegas conference that last year attracted over 7,000 people from over 65 countries, is hosting an all-digital “September to Remember” featuring the ITC + DIA World Tour, a virtual journey across the globe showcasing InsurTech innovation.
InsTech London is the official ITC + DIA World Tour partner for the UK and was was tasked with sourcing five of the UK’s best start-ups. Previsico was selected for the ‘Predict and Prevent’ category, with the other four UK InsurTechs selected being Stable, Hokodo, Bequest and Riskbook.
Jonathan Jackson, CEO at Previsico, said: “We are thrilled to be selected for this prestigious event, particularly as we were up against very stiff competition. InsurTech is increasingly global, and the UK sits right at the heart of it, with many leading innovators being based here, so this is indeed an honour.
“Naturally, we hope to win the UK leg, but whatever happens we will be present as ITC Global, as the organisers have kindly asked us to take part in a round-table event, ‘Climate Resilience – Floods, which Tom Herbstein, Insurance Prosperity Specialist at the DIT is moderating. Other panellists will be Adam Rimmer, Co-Founder, FloodFlash and Emma Howard Boyd, Chair, Environment Agency.”
Matthew Grant, Partner of InsTech London, said: “We are delighted to partner with ITC + DIA and lead the UK part of the World Tour on 3 September, supported by Anthemis. InsTech London selected Previsico as one of the five UK start-ups as we believe it is an excellent example of an emerging UK company that is building innovative products with global applications, including the US market, where they are now live following their recent launch.”
The ITC + DIA World Tour will run from 1-18 September and will consist of 35 digital events hosted in different locations across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas. The three weeks of events will lead up to ITC Global on 21-23 September, a two and a half day, 24-hour a day immersive experience.
