Previsico and Marsh launch corporate flood resilience campaign

Previsico and Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk advisory, have launched a new three-part video series, as part of a campaign to highlight how organisations can strengthen resilience to flooding and named storm events through improved forecasting and risk insight.

As extreme weather events and named storms increasingly impact businesses across the UK and globally, organisations are under growing pressure to anticipate disruption, protect assets, and manage the financial consequences of severe weather.

The campaign explores how collaboration between Marsh and Previsico brings together advanced flood forecasting technology with specialist risk advisory expertise to help organisations better understand and prepare for flood-related risks.

By combining predictive forecasting with risk consultancy and claims insight, the union demonstrates how organisations can shift from reactive responses after extreme weather events to proactive risk management and resilience planning.

Aleksander Surowiak, Head of Sales at Previsico, said: Flood risk isn’t just persisting, it’s growing rapidly. Recent government assessments show that the number of locations at risk of surface water flooding has increased by 43%, yet only around 25% of businesses currently have a flood action plan in place.

“By working with Marsh, we’re combining powerful forecasting technology with deep risk advisory expertise to help organisations move from reacting to flood events to actively preparing for them. This new video series highlights how forecasting and early warnings can play a critical role in building practical, real-world resilience.”

The partnership highlights how real-time flood forecasting and early warning systems can support better operational decision-making before, during, and after severe weather events. By providing earlier visibility of potential flood impacts, organisations can take proactive steps to protect property, safeguard employees, maintain business continuity, and reduce potential financial losses. This is particularly important given that up to 70% of flood-related losses can be avoided through effective mitigation and preparedness, demonstrating the real value of early insight and planning.

Previsico’s technology combines hyperlocal forecasts, live hydrodynamic modelling, and IoT sensor data to deliver real-time flood intelligence. When combined with Marsh’s global risk advisory and insurance expertise, this approach helps businesses better understand their exposure to flood risk and prepare more effectively for extreme weather events.

Together, Previsico and Marsh aim to support organisations in strengthening flood resilience and improving preparedness as climate-related risks continue to evolve.
