Previsico Makes Business Cloud's InsurTech 50 ranking in 2026
Innovation ranking celebrates UK businesses of all sizes creating technology to transform insurance industry

Previsico is pleased to reveal that we feature in the Business Cloud's InsurTech 50 innovation ranking for 2026, at number 18!
Readers of online technology publication BusinessCloud and an expert judging panel together decided the 50 most innovative startups, scaleups and established technology firms serving the insurance industry.
Previsico made the cut with our Flood Intel Platform, which combines hydrodynamic surface water modelling, developed from 20 years of research at Loughborough University, with real-time water level sensors. It gives organisations advance, property-level warning of flooding and the tools to act before a flood strikes, helping insurers and their customers reduce losses rather than just estimate risk.
The InsurTech 50 celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original tech solutions for insurance advice, products and claims.
“The insurance industry is becoming ever smarter through innovation as ambitious companies augment how it is bought, sold and delivered,” said Jonathan Symcox, editor, BusinessCloud.
“AI-enabled technologies are now central to areas such as underwriting and risk management, while products are becoming more flexible and customisable by the year.
“It’s a pleasure to shine a light on the InsurTech companies of all sizes selected by our readers and judges.”
BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 92-strong shortlist over seven days. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50.
The judging panel was comprised of:
- Paul Lucas, global editor - insurance, Key Media
- Paddy Goodlet, corporate finance - head of FinTech M&A, KPMG UK
- Gary Fenemore-Schenk, tax director, S&W
- Kateryna Halkina, senior business development manager, IDnow
- Jonathan Symcox, editor, BusinessCloud
